Some homes are built for different types of weather and homes can be made from different materials. Take a look at what our class has been learning about different types of homes.

G1ài 爱 loaded up the bus and headed out to look at different types of homes around Hong Kong. First stop was Pok Fu Lam Village public housing, then we headed over to Aberdeen Harbor and boarded the sampan and motored around the harbor searching for different types of houses. We saw tall houses and small houses. We saw houses built out of metal, tall buildings made of bricks, and a lot of houseboats made out of wood. Some had tin roofs and some even floated in the harbor. The kids were inquirers today - "Why do these houses have tin roofs?" "Why is that tall building made out of brick?" "What's the difference between the house boats and the fishing boats?" "Why are there so many antennas?" What questions do you have?
Special thanks to our chaperones - Feline's dad, Parnika's mom, Pech's Aunt, Maddy's mom, and HKA's own fabulous Dr. Angie!
