Grade one students planned their field trip based on the weather! They planned for outdoor games and activities if the weather permitted and indoor games if the weather was not cooperating. Well the sun was shining so we headed to the playground in Kennedy Town and the students participated in their outdoor activities. They played dodgeball, seven square, four square and one activity had them carrying paper balls on wooden spoons and racing to the finish line. Well done grade 1!
Understanding weather systems allows us to make plans and decisions.
As a class, we thought of as many key words as we could relating to our current unit and wrote them on the board. We then used these words to write our own weather poem. Check them out!
Grade one headed to Sai Kung to meet our new neighbors, and check out our new school. We handed out plants with instructions on how to take care of the plant to local businesses - Sai Kung Public pool, local shops, restaurants, Sampan Captains and the SPCA. It was hot, but mother nature cooled us down with a little rain shower. We even saw some local wildlife! Thank you chaperones - Bryan, Kristine, Scott and Janet!
