1ai library time! Here is the link to the library blog:
To follow up on our 'Negative Behavior' part of the unit, we had our buddies from 5ai help 1ai students type up their ideas and examples of how NOT to behave.
Expecting a Mystery Reader today was so EXClTING!!! The students just couldn't wait and prepared a special mystery path for the Reader to walk to her seat. And who do you think it was this time? Meika's mom Mesh. She brought quite a collection of books to read! In particular, she introduced us to a new author Libby Gleeso and her story books. Very interesting! Thank you, Mesh
Throughout the week we have been reading a wonderful book 'Have you filled a bucket today?' by Carol McCloud. The symbol of an invisible bucket that everyone has represents kindness, appreciation, and love that we all share with each other. The Homework for the week was for the students to collect examples of filling someone's bucket. They did a GREAT job! Moreover, today in class we also discussed ways how other people fill our buckets as well.
What an elegant way to spread joy all around us!
Share a snack is a delightful tradition in 1ai!
Thanks to Casper's mom, Tarlan, we all enjoyed our first very DELICIOUS and healthy tacos! The students took turns filling their taco shells with all kinds of yammies: meat, veggies, cheese, ... Share a snack is a great opportunity for students, teachers and parents to come together and share a learning experience.
Thank you, Tarlan
